Episode 119: Raids and Guns

This week the Department of Homeland Security raided chicken processing plants in Mississippi and detained almost 700 people. This came days after a white nationalist drove nine hours to murder 22 Americans of Mexican descent and Mexican nationals and injure an additional 25 people. The two events rattled Latinos across the country.

Notably, not all Sunday morning political shows focused their coverage and interviews on how these two events are affecting people or how these two events are perceived together. Today on Polilogue we explore if the Trump administration and the media are able to aptly address both immigration and gun violence at the same time.
